McCartney Property Management

We are an independently-owned management company that has been in the Aspen valley for over 35 years. We provide professional property management services to help open the door for our owners and guests to experience all that Aspen has to offer.

We are here in Aspen because we love it for the remarkable place that it is. Summer or winter, spring or fall, Aspen is one of the most beautiful places to live and visit, and the endless events and activities make being here a dream. We wish to stand out above the rest by providing our owners and guests the opportunity to enjoy Aspen just as we do.

We bring expertise to add value to our owners’ and guests’ personal experiences and needs. Our objective is to be responsive and add value to the Aspen experience. Whether working with a guest or a homeowner, or a condominium association or short-term rental property, our core values of professionalism, responsive communication, and delivery on expectations, knowledge, and dependability enable trust, genuine experiences, and rewarding relationships.

Charles McCartney

Charles came to Aspen in 1981 after graduating from college. The plan was to spend a year skiing and then return to graduate school. A year later, while studying the geochemistry of the Mississippi River, he had an epiphany, dropped his books, and returned to the blue sky and sunshine that epitomize Aspen. In 1986, he started McCartney Property Management and has embraced the “Aspen lifestyle” and the mission of opening the door for all of our guests and homeowners to all that Aspen has to offer.

Claire Finley
Director of Sales and Reservations Manager

Claire graduated from the University of Mississippi and moved to the island of St. Croix in the USVI. It was here she pursued a career in the hospitality and food and beverage industry and immersed herself in the Caribbean culture. The pursuit of a new challenge brought Claire to Charleston SC, where she sold real estate for 10 years. But the mountains always beckoned.

After the birth of her son Phoenix, she dreamt of the small town vibe and love of the outdoors, only this time her focus turned to her favorite mountain town, Aspen. Why not make her favorite place to holiday their home? In 2015 her dream became a reality. During her free time you will find Claire hiking, camping, biking, skiing, kayaking, paddle boarding, horseback riding and enjoying live music. Claire is thrilled to be raising her son in arguably one of the most beautiful places on the planet, surrounded by nature, skiing, snow, sunshine and bluebird days.

Rosanne Evonitz

Rosanne moved to Colorado in 1976 after graduating from Bowling Green State University with a degree in graphic arts and a teaching certificate. She fell in love with skiing and the West during spring break trips and visits with one of her sisters in New Mexico. She began her career in the newspaper industry in the production department at the Fort Collins Coloradoan, USAToday, and as the Production Director of the Niagara Falls Gazette in Niagara Falls, N.Y. After a serious illness, she realized home was Colorado and returned, first to Fort Collins where her son Micah was born, then to Carbondale and the Roaring Fork Valley. Since moving to Carbondale she has been a full-time Mom, as well as landscaper, florist, and private estate manager. One of the things she was missing was the variety of duties and client contact that property/estate management offered. Rosanne started with McCartney Property Management in November 2018, and she enjoys interacting with clients and helping them plan their visit to this special place she has grown to love.

Bill Brashear
Maintenance and Field Operations Manager

Bill has been with McCartney Property Management since 1997. He has many years of experience prior to that working as a contractor and with interior designers, and he is skilled with managing and performing any size of renovation, regular maintenance, and/or project. His real calling, however, is playing golf on one of the many Aspen area courses!
