Winter In Aspen

The First Snow of the Season is Here

It looks like winter has arrived! Temperatures are dropping here in the mountains and the days are getting short. The first snowfall of the 2022-2023 season came during recent storm cycles. It doesn’t look like we’re going to see it melt off until spring!

We are gearing up for another busy ski season and hoping that the snowcapped peaks surrounding the town are a good omen of what’s to come.

In Colorado ski towns, Thanksgiving often means the start of the ski season, but in 2022 Mother Nature has blessed us with early snows, and Aspen and Snowmass mountains will be opening before the traditional Thanksgiving opening dates on November 19, 2022!! Even when Mother Nature isn’t fully cooperating, the resorts are well-versed with snow-making and typically start operations on the week of the holiday. Thanksgiving is a great time in Aspen – it’s family-friendly & festive with the Christmas lights strung throughout the trees of downtown, with little to no crowds, and off-season specials aplenty.

Are you ready for the holiday season in a winter wonderland? We sure are.

Plan ahead for the best prices and be the first to book your ski trip. Up the ante and be the first one on the gondola each day to get the best snow, just don’t forget to reward yourself with some Après Ski.

Want to save yourself the hassle of buying tickets in person at a ticket office? Buy your tickets online and have them ready to go before you arrive! Not bringing your own skis? Have your equipment rental ready for you when you get here.
